It’s Commonwealth Silver Super Featherweight Title fight action this Friday, November 3rd, LIVE and FREE on Fightzone with coverage from the Grimsby Auditorium.

Headlining on the Carl Greaves Promotions show will be local favourite, Levi Giles, facing Sheffield’s Razaq Najib – with the winner in line to fight for the full Commonwealth strap.

Giles’ only defeat in 15 outings came in March when he was outpointed by Manchester’s Michael Gomez Jr in an English Title fight that many had him winning.  The 27-year-old has since got back to winning ways in June with a TKO victory over journeyman Ruslan Berchuk but knows that a loss in this fight would be a big career setback.

The contest is equally important for Najib, who has lost five of 17 outings.  The Yorkshireman’s reverses have come in good company and have included English and European Title fight losses, highlighting that the fighter known as ‘Lionheart’ won’t be daunted by facing Giles in his backyard.

Ahead of the show, promoter Carl Greaves is predicting a great tear-up for the fans and Fightzone viewers, and is hoping his man can come out on top.

“This is a real test for Levi, because Razaq is a quality fighter.  It’s a fight that both need to win to push on with their careers, so there’s a lot on the line.

“I just think though that Levi will have a bit more in his locker and should be slightly fresher in what will definitely be a great fight for the fans to watch.”

Fightzone’s Steve Crump stated: “We’ve had Levi on Fightzone a few times now and he’s always great to watch.  Everyone knows that he was very unlucky to not get the nod against Gomez Jr, but that’s in the past and this is a fantastic opportunity for him.  This isn’t an easy fight but I see him coming through in a brilliant TV fight.”

Also appearing on the show will be Scunthorpe’s James Richardson; Grimsby’s Kirsty Hill and Shaydon Walmsley; Boston’s Tom Pogson and Harvey Elding, and Yorkshire’s Owen Edwards.
