Wainwright vs Laamouz: Keanen Wainwright believes that Haithem Laamouz will bring out the best in him, as they prepare to go head-to-head for the Commonwealth Silver Lightweight Title on December 2nd.

The pair will headline at the Hotel Intercontinental, St Julians, in Malta with the main bout and undercard broadcast LIVE/FREE on Fightzone.

Laamouz brings all the experience.  The Maltese man has lost just one in twenty and previously fought for the European Super Featherweight crown.  Wainwright, from Sheffield, brings power – with six of his 10 career victories coming by KO.

Wainwright vs Laamouz

Ahead of the hugely anticipated clash, ‘The Wolf’ says he is in a good place and will have too much on the night for the heralded Laamouz.

It’s a great test for me.  He’s an experienced lad, has had 20 fights, been the distance a few times and done 12 rounds.  This’ll only be my second time at doing 10 rounds, so it’s a great experience for me.

I’m full of confidence going into the fight.  I’m not taking it lightly but I’m in great shape, great peace of mind and believe I can do it.

I think you’ll see the best of me in this fight.  He seems like a come forward fighter, like me, but I think I edge it by hitting but not getting hit.

I’ve always had to chase my opponents in the past, so you haven’t really seen the best of me but this’ll be a busy fight and you’ll see me make him miss a lot, and I’ll make him pay.
